Cheryl is a native of southeastern Pennsylvania and currently resides in the rolling hills of Chester County. Cheryl received her formal instruction at Kutztown University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Cheryl creates watercolors in her own, very distinctive style, capturing her subject with remarkable detail. Although her work features a variety of subject matter, her compositions all emphasize strong contrast and design.
Cheryl has pursued a diversified and successful career as a designer, illustrator, and painter. As a designer and illustrator, her clients include Random House Publishing, ABC Publishing, DuPont, the Franklin Mint, and Georgetown Collections. Cheryl's illustrations were selected by the American Lung Association to appear as the Christmas Seal from 1989-1994. She illustrated the cover piece for novelist Warren Adler's first edition of "Private Lies."
As a painter, her passion for her work can be seen in her paintings of the Pennsylvania countryside and florals in exquisite detail. Her paintings decorate the corporate headquarters of Pennsylvania Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Philadelphia. She has created poster art for the prestigious Yellow Springs Art Show in the past. Cheryl has donated her art to the Relay for Life cause, to benefit the American Cancer Society. She has gained recognition as a miniature artist as well, creating watercolors in remarkable detail.
Cheryl's artwork is currently on exhibit in numerous galleries. Her watercolors can be found in many collections throughout the country. She is a Signature member of the Philadelphia Water Color Society.
