Virginia Abrams Using silks and hand-dyed cottons Virginia
creates art quilts with
abstract designs inspired by the biomorphic shapes of the natural
world. Her quilts have been shown in numerous exhibits across the
United States and are in private collections. Her introduction
into
the world of art quilts began in 1997 and has been a nice fusion of her
long time passion for fabrics and sewing, her interest in the natural
world, and her formal education in chemistry and biochemistry. A
native of the Finger Lakes region of New York State, she has lived in
Hockessin, Delaware since 1971.
